My Story Begins Here!

Welcome to this chapter of my story! I have many joys in my life; all having to do with family. I have the privilege of being a wife, mom, sister, daughter, bonus mom, grandma, auntie and sister-in-law. I never thought I would ever have artist as a title behind my name. But here I am, Tori Rosel, artist living life colorfully and creating beauty along the way through art and surface pattern design.

Zinnias are my absolute favorite flower! When I was a little girl, my mom would carefully plant the little seeds and care for them on the edge of our vegetable garden. As they grew and bloomed, the colors just tickled my fancy! I cut them and placed them in a perfect pastel plastic cup smack dab in the middle of our dining room table. The charming centers, the colorful petals are just so delightful.

From the gardens as a little girl, to flower shops as an adult my love of flowers has never stopped. Ivy & Rose Floral Design became a wonderful side hustle and now a busy home-based business. In 2018 life went off-road for awhile as I suffered a traumatic brain injury where “beauty from ashes” is my story. In this dark place of stepping back from life and letting my extroverted self take time to heal, I found drawing and eventually, painting. It was not only the only thing I could do that didn’t cause pain, but it was a place I connected with God and had peace in the storm. It was here that my love of art truly blossomed. It is an amazing journey of self discovery each and every day. I am a full-time creative and am absolutely loving every single moment of this journey of life. I am so very thankful for the day by day and seeing the blessing instead of the burden.

God said, “Take my hand and let’s do something new and fun” so together we travel this lane together. Where He goes, I will go! I wake up refreshed every single day that a new adventure is waiting for me. Welcome to Zinnia Lane Designs: where passion and creativity are free to be born fresh each day! A new lane to be traveled hand in hand with the Father!
